Top 6 Best Restaurants in Havelock Island (2024 Edition)

Eateries at Havelock Island are so underrated. Honestly, it has some great culinary talent you should not miss. We understand that food is a very important part of vacations, especially considering hygiene and adapting to new tastes while traveling. After you’ve sorted your accommodation in Havelock, here’s a list of the best 6 restaurants with all that they have to offer. Make sure to check out at least a few while you’re on the island!

1. Full moon Cafe, Govind Nagar

One of our absolute favourites, the full moon cafe is one place you cannot miss when at Havelock. Start by getting a daily dose of fresh fruit or vegetable juice infused with antioxidant rich ginger and parsley. There’s an open seating as well as covered space, lots of books and many charging points. You could go for a swim from their cafe itself and then savour their extensive menu of cuisines from across the world. Their meals are totally worth trying!

Recommendations: Fresh Juices, Spinach Cheese Crepe, Peri Peri Prawn Meals, Goan Thali, Grilled Fish Meal Platter, Banoffee Pie Pancake, Tandoori platter

2. Go fresh, Govind Nagar

Imagine it’s a hot morning, and you’re returning from our scuba dive and all sweaty and hungry. Chettinad Anna’s Go Fresh is the place for you. Indulge in flavourful south indian food early in the morning. Trust us, it’ll be one of your best decisions because it was ours! Masala filled dosa, fluffy big idlis, crispy vadas and the kara chutney oozing with flavour. It cannot get better.

Recommendations: Masala Dosa, Set Dosa, Idli and Podi Idli, Vada, Fish Thali, Biryani

3. Hashtag Dosa, Govind Nagar

Whenever, wherever, the craze for dosa never ends, and in Havelock, Hashtag dosa takes it to the next level with hard-to-choose varieties of dosa and uthappam. This place also serves pongal and veg & Non-veg meals, making it a must-visit for south Indian cuisine lovers. Don’t hesitate to ask for extra chutney- you’ll get at least three delicious varieties to enjoy.

Recommendations:  Butter masala dosa, # special uthappam, and Chettinad mutton biriyani on weekends

4. Cafe 4, Shyam Nagar

Cafe 4 of the boutique hotel Matsya in Havelock, is a charming little spot known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious baked goods. Offering a selection of pastries, cakes, and coffee, it’s the perfect place to relax and recharge. Not to mention, they have a lot of games to play while you spend your time here, we personally enjoyed having battles over scrabble! The cafe also serves light meals and snacks, making it a great choice for breakfast or a mid-afternoon treat. The friendly service, aesthetic decor and homely vibe make Cafe 4 a beloved spot among visitors.

5. Bonova, Govind Nagar

Located at a walking distance from the Havelock Jetty, Bonova is a contemporary cafe and pub, with premium english cottage vibes and quality food. One can often find live music or a DJ playing some beats here. This place is great for family dinners, romantic getaways or even treating luxury to oneself. Cocktails are a delight here and the seafood, beautifully crafted. Bonova also offers vegan food options.

6. Something Different, Govind Nagar

True to its name, Something Different offers a unique dining experience in the Andamans. The menu features a mix of local and global cuisines, including Italian, Thai, and Indian, ensuring there’s something for every palate. 

The macrame decor, well-trained staff, beautiful location and yummy pizzas make it a favorite among tourists. They also have a free pickup and drop off service. Not only this, but Something Different clicks a picture of you and gets it framed for you while you enjoy your meal.
