Day 1: Discovering Port Blair
This day marks the beginning of your nine-day family vacation in the magnificent Andaman Islands. On your arrival at the Veer Savarkar International Airport at Port Blair, a G2A representative will be available to take care of any immediate needs and ensure your comfortable transfer to the hotel.
The famous Cellular Jail will be the first site you will visit. Also known as the Kala Pani prison, this edifice tells us tales of India’s freedom struggle. Walk through the jail’s many corridors and stop by its galleries, the paintings and sculptures serve as reminders of the atrocities faced by freedom fighters to get the country its independence. Next, make your way to Samudrika and learn about the islands’ marine life.
The later part of the day is saved for a visit to Ross Island. Once the capital of the archipelago, today this island is covered in entrancing ruins from a bygone era. Kids and adults alike enjoy the company of deer and peacocks and the evening sound and light show about the history of the islands and its inhabitants, keeps everyone mesmerized.
Return back to Port Blair and stay the night in the comfort of your room.
Day 2: Visiting Jolly Buoy
Rise to a pleasant morning in Port Blair and have a quick breakfast at your hotel, an exciting day awaits you!
Hop on your car and enjoy a 30 km picturesque drive to Wandoor beach – the start point for your boat to Jolly Buoy Island. Have fun on your boat ride passing by numerous tiny islets and picturesque vistas and once you arrive, it’s only golden sandy beaches and crystal clear water that welcome you. You can spend quality time with your family swimming in the turquoise waters and partake in activities like scuba diving and snorkeling – it’s an excursion like no other.
Kindly Note: Plastic is banned on the Jolly Buoy Island and therefore even plastic water bottles need to be deposited at the jetty counter before you take the boat ride from Wandoor.
Return back to Port Blair for the night’s stay.
Day 3: Hello there, Havelock!
No vacation to Andaman is complete without a visit to Havelock Island and this day is the beginning of your date with this wonderland. Begin your day with breakfast at your hotel and head out for your ferry ride to Havelock.
On arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up before you head out for lunch at a restaurant of your choice.
The later part of the afternoon is saved for a visit to Radhanagar Beach. Famed for being one of the finest beaches in Asia, Radhanagar with its crystal clear water and a captivating panorama of lush forestation and the Andaman Sea is an absolute charmer. You can spend your time swimming or just laze on the beach waiting for the sunset people can’t stop raving about.
End the day with dinner at a local restaurant of your choice and proceed to your resort and call it a day.
Day 4: Oh Havelock, You Stunner!
Start your day with a tasteful breakfast at your resort and head out to visit the Elephant Beach. With its white sandy beach, teal water, and a plethora of water activities the place is a must visit in Havelock. Have a fun time with your family jet skiing or snorkeling and if there are kids or veterans in your group you could opt for a family activity on a glass bottom boat.
Thereafter head out for lunch at a local restaurant and you have the rest of the day at leisure. You can choose to head to the famous Kala Pathar beach or just ride around on your moped and explore the island – there isn’t a dull moment in Havelock.

Day 5: The Best of Neil
Begin your day with breakfast at your resort and head to the jetty to for your ferry ride to Neil Island. Long stretches of white sandy beaches, the glistening Andaman Sea, and the quaint island vibe is everything that makes Neil Island a must visit in the Andaman Islands.
On your arrival, check into your resort you have a fun beach day awaiting you. Start with a visit to the Bharatpur Beach and have a fun beach day with your family while swimming in the crystal clear waters here or just spend some quality time lazing on the sand with an interesting book in your hand.
Post lunch; make your way to the Laxmanpur Beach famous for its picturesque waterfront and a lengthy stretch of shell sand. Next, proceed towards the Natural Bridge formed entirely of dead corals; it’s a chief attraction in the island and for all the right reasons.
Conclude the day with dinner at a local restaurant of your choice. After which, you proceed to your resort and spend the night in the comfort of your room in Neil island.
Day 6: Port Blair and Beyond
Awake to a pleasant morning in Neil Island, today you will head back to Port Blair. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and get some rest before the afternoon’s adventure. You could also choose to head to the local Aberdeen market or the government-run emporium, Sagarika and shop for souvenirs.
Post lunch; embark on a scenic drive to the Munda Pahad beach in Chidiyatapu. Drive along the South Andaman coastline and through the tropical forest of the island; spot pretty little birds and the Padauk tree, endemic to the region (an absolute hit among the kids), which is only a build up to one of the best sunsets the islands have to offer.
On your return to Port Blair, stop by for dinner at a local restaurant and call it an early night, an exciting day awaits you.
Day 7: The Baratang Outing!
This adventurous day begins at 03:30 am when you embark upon a 100 km drive through the Jarawa reserve to the convoy check post that leads you to Baratang. On your arrival at the convoy post, take the vehicle ferry to Baratang.
Kindly Note: Tribal tourism in Andaman is strictly prohibited and illegal. You cannot interact and/or even photograph the indigenous population. Photography/videography during the travel will result in immediate arrest and the law authorities of the region will take severe action for the same.
Upon your arrival in the islands, take a boat ride to the wooden jetty at Nayadera. After which, begin a short trek that takes you through the dense forest and reach the famous Limestone caves. A great hit among the kids, the caves are blessed with remarkable stalagmite and stalactite formations in all shapes and forms.
Next, proceed to see another wonder of nature – the 41 active mud crates. Though there is nothing strikingly beautiful about the site, mud volcanoes are a rarity that one should not miss in Baratang.
Thereafter, head to the jetty and make your way back to the capital.

Day 8: Day Excursion to Mount Harriet
The day begins with an early breakfast at your hotel after which, you will head to the Chatham Jetty to take the vehicle ferry to Bamboo Flat. Bamboo Flat is an absolute delight with its lush forestation! Explore the rich flora and fauna of the region and come face-to-face with the historical significance of its little towns; pass by the ruins of a colonial British summer house and feel one with the nature at the Mount Harriet National Park. Drive up the hill and enjoy an eagle’s view of the Andaman coastline – the air and the experience both are sublime.
Later drive to a spot to get a view of the North Bay Island lighthouse as featured on the 20-rupee Indian note.
Return back to Port Blair to stay the night.
Day 9: Home Calling!
Rise to a lovely morning in Port Blair and indulge in a flavourful breakfast at your hotel before you head to the airport with memories of a wonderful holiday with your family.
