Embark on an excursion in the wee hours of the night and traverse through the Andaman Trunk Road (ATR) to finally reach the famous Baratang Island. This bumpy ride via lush green jungles, home to the indigenous Jarawa tribe, and the azure waters of the Andaman Sea will be imprinted in your heart forever. Explore the famous Limestone caves with their stunning stalagmite and stalactites. From the strange yet gorgeous wonders of nature to the chance of coming face – to – face with a Jarawa – the Baratang Day Excursion has it all!
Price shown includes:
Price for a 4-seater AC car with driver- INR 6800 and 
Extra charges would apply for pick up and drop if your pickup point is outside of city limits. 
Ticket charges for 1 person- INR 950 
( tickets for the boat ride to limestone caves)

Total charges would be calculated based on the car you choose ( 4-seater, 7-seater or Tempo Traveler) & no. of people.
  • 3:30 am: Pick up from the hotel and drive to the Convoy starting point.
  • 6 am: Convoy starts, the drive to Baratang Island begins
  • 7: 30 am: Reach Nilambur jetty and take a boat ride through dense mangroves to reach Nayadera Jetty.
    From here, walk down for about a kilometer to see the Limestone Caves and then proceed to a famous sight nonetheless, is the Mud Volcano, the only known kind in India. It is nothing but a small bubbling puddle of mud
  • 2 pm: Resume your drive back to Port Blair and drop to hotel

  1. Leave your hotel at 3:30 am and head to the Convoy starting point
  2. After a short wait begin your drive to the Baratang Island
  3. Reach Nilambur jetty and take a boat ride to the Nayadera jetty
  4. Follow a scenic trail that leads you the outstanding Limestone Caves

Important Info

  1. Any kind of interaction with Jarawas including taking their pictures in illegal. If ignored, the same can lead to imprisonment
  2. It is compulsory to carry Id cards/Passports while visiting the Reserve area
  3. The tour involves a long road journey, the convoy through the Jarawa reserve lasts for about 45 minutes to an hour, during which the car is not allowed to stop
  4. This tour is not possible on Mondays
  5. Anybody under the age of 18 needs to be accompanied by an adult
  6. Snacks and Meals are not included
