Timeline

  1. Day 1: Take the convoy and reach the Karen Homestay at Mayabundar. Spend the evening learning the art of traditional Karen cooking
  2. Day 2: Take a boat trip to Avis Island and enjoy your snorkelling expedition
  3. Day 3: Indulge in traditional fishing with the Karen ladies at a river stream
  4. Day 4: Return to Port Blair

Important Info

  1. Carry ID cards/ Passports for visiting.
  2. Any kind of interaction with Jarawas including taking their pictures in illegal. If ignored, the same can lead to imprisonment
  3. Children to be accompanied by an adult
  4. Karen traditional Fishing involves fishing on a river stream and not with a boat on an open sea
  5. Boat to Avis island: 4 Pax max per boat
