About Kala Pathar Beach
Kalapathar Beach is a quiet and scenic spot located at the far end of Havelock Island, also known as Swaraj Dweep. It is known for its long stretch of white sand lined with large black rocks, which is also how the beach gets its name from the nearby Kalapathar Village.
Situated along the southeastern coast of Havelock Island, Kalapathar Beach is a continuation of Beach No. 5 and is one of the top beaches in Havelock Island, along with Elephant Beach and Radhanagar Beach. Compared to these popular beaches, Kalapathar offers a more peaceful and less crowded experience.
While the main stretch can get busy during peak season, walking further towards the southern side will lead you to quieter spots. There is a narrow path through the greenery that opens up to more secluded sections of the beach, making it a good place to slow down and spend some quiet time by the sea.
