Aberdeen Jetty is located within the Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex, right beside Marina Park in the heart of Port Blair. It serves as the main boarding point for ferries heading to two of the most popular tourist destinations in the Andaman Islands – Ross Island (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island) and North Bay Island.
Important Note For Tourists: The private ferries and speed boats arrive back at Port Blair before sunset. If you have purchased tickets for the light and sound show that happens in Ross Island, then a government ferry will take you to and fro from the island.
Aberdeen Jetty is conveniently located within the Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex in Port Blair. It’s just a 10-minute walk from the Aberdeen Bazaar, making it easily accessible for most travelers.
If you’re arriving from the airport, the jetty is around 5 to 6 kilometers away and can be reached in about 25–30 minutes by car. You can hire a local rickshaw, book a taxi, or take a private cab to reach the complex.
Public transportation is also available. Local buses frequently operate between major parts of the city and the jetty. If you’re taking a bus, get off at the “Marina Park” stop—Aberdeen Jetty is just a short walk from there.
