DSD or Discover Scuba Diving is the perfect course for a first-time diver. It’s a gateway to the world of Scuba-diving and to discovering the colorful marine world in the Andamans.
Port Blair has a rich underwater life that will leave you feeling fascinated and awed. Meant for a beginner / experienced diver, a boat DSD is a short crash course that is inclusive of basic Scuba skills and an exclusive dive that you can expect to go as deep as 12 metres!
Experience swimming amongst corals, a variety of fish, turtles and the songs of the ocean – it’s a dive of a lifetime and brace yourself for stunning underwater views with a colourful & rich marine life. It’s an experience that will make you want to come back for more!

Who can Dive
Age Limit
- 12 years+ for Boat Dives
- 12 years+ for Shore Dives – Contact us to book shore dives
Other Medical Requirements
- Should not be suffering from diabetes, blood pressure, asthma, and heart conditions.
- Should not be pregnant.
- Should not have undergone ear surgery in past 1 year.
- Should have not gone under any major surgery over last 3 months.
- Ideally should not be taking a flight within 24 hrs after the dive
Covid Rules
- Should be completely vaccinated.
- Regardless of which program you do, if you have had symptomatic COVID, a three-month period since full recovery and clearance from a cardiologist is mandatory.
Full Schedule

Arrive at the Dive shop
Fill in your dive form and waiver form
The dive staff will help you with your equipment fittings. You will be fitted with a mask, flippers, dive suit
A de-briefing will take place
Walk to the picturesque shore dive spot via land with your instructor
Learn the basic skills on the surface of the water
Learn to perform the skills under water
Go on your splendid Andaman dive and see colourful fish and live coral
Come back to the dive shop post-dive and receive your Discover Scuba Dive certificate

What Happens After the Booking?
- You will receive a call or an e-mail in case of any extra info needed.
- You will receive the confirmation voucher on your e-mail ID.
- You will have to show the confirmation voucher to the driver on the day of your activity.
Cancellation Policy
- The trip can be canceled upto 24 hours before starting time of the trip. Small 5% retention will apply on such cancellations.
- Unfortunately, trips may not be canceled within 24 hours since entry tickets are acquired.

Is scuba diving safe?
Scuba Diving is a safe water activity that is done by thousands of people across the world, daily. It is recommended that you have a decent level of fitness like being able to walk for 45 mins without getting tired. All Instructors and dive masters are equipped with internationally recognized certifications and are trained in dive supervision, diver rescue and Emergency First Response (EFR).

Who cannot do Scuba Diving?
People with disabilities, pregnant women, people with back issues and respiratory illnesses are strictly not allowed to Scuba Dive.

Do I need to know how to swim?
You can do scuba diving even if you do not know how to swim. You will always be accompanied by an experienced instructor or dive master. They’re there to help you stay comfortable underwater and will assist you at all times.

What to carry?

What to wear?
Wear your swim-wear or you can even wear a quick-dry shirt and shorts. A wetsuit will be provided at the dive shop that will be worn over this. Wear flip-flops when you go to the dive shop. It is advisable not to wear sports shoes, heels or boots.
You will be scheduled for a time slot between 5:00 AM and 10:30 AM on the selected date.
