ACC Hotel (run by the Andaman & Nicobar Co-Operative Cafeteria Ltd) is unlike many of the lodges and hotels available in the bazaar area, and one that is actually a great pick if you’re travelling on a budget. The hotel’s humble and helpful staff will give you reliable tourism guidance and they do not operate on a commission basis, which makes them extremely reliable. They also have plenty of AC and non-AC options for solo travellers, families as well as groups. The hotel also has a generator and full power back-up, which is a big plus for a hotel at this price and location. It is not fancy in any manner but serves its purpose very well. What it lacks is an attached restaurant, but there are so many restaurant options that it’s not a big hassle. All in all, this hotel is perfect for your transit-stay in Port Blair, even if it is for more than just one night.
