About German Jetty

This sight of the remains of an old German jetty is not a spectacular one. The jetty was built by a German engineer during the 2nd World War hence the name. There is nothing much to see or do here except watching locals fishing on the decaying blocks of once a prosperous jetty. There is a small rocky beach behind but sadly it is covered with garbage and for that reason is not the most pleasant for swimming.

How to Reach German Jetty?

The german Jetty lies at the northern end of Mayabunder.  It is close to the APWD guesthouse as well as the market. You can easily get here by hiring a cab, auto or by bus (from the market). Do note that no boats leave from here and it is now just a tourist spot.
