About Phoenix Bay Jetty in Port Blair

Phoenix Bay Jetty in Port Blair is a key boarding point for all government ferries heading to and fro from various Andaman Islands including Havelock, Neil, Little Andaman, Rangat, Diglipur and others. Private ferries also operate from this jetty. Apart from Haddo Jetty, Phoenix jetty is a pivotal backup for tourists who might miss boarding their private ferry.

How To Reach Phoenix Bay Jetty, Port Blair

 

  • Phoenix Bay Jetty is a 15 minute walk from Aberdeen Bazaar and a 10 minute walk from the Mohanpura central bus stand.

  • You can head to the jetty directly from the airport, it takes 15-20 minutes by taxi or car.

  • The jetty is well connected by local buses, taxis, and shared autos. So reaching the jetty or heading out of the jetty shouldn’t be a problem.

Boarding Guidelines for Haddo Jetty, Port Blair

1. Arrive 1 hour before ferry departure. The boarding gate opens 30 minutes before the ferry arrives

2. Your luggage, ticket and original ID proof are all checked at the entry point. The process is similar to luggage being scanned at airports.

3. Do note that the jetty does not have trolleys so best to carry bags with trolleys or wheels.

4. If you have a concession ticket then present the valid ID at the time of entering the jetty.

5. Don’t carry any illegal, inflammable, explosive or dangerous items in your bags.

6. Strictly adhere to the liquor policy. You are allowed one sealed liquor bottle, per person, with the original bill. Put this in your check-in baggage and not the hand luggage.
