About Tiranga Memorial

Also known as Netaji Flag Hoisting Memorial, Tiranga Memorial is amongst the ideal Andaman and Nicobar islands points of interest. It is an important heritage spot as Subash Chandra Bose hoisted the Indian Tricolor in 1943 and declared the islands a free territory. Major football and cricket matches take place here at Netaji Stadium while tourists can take heritage walks, visit Clock Towers, Netaji Club Ground, and many more Andaman visiting places.

How to Reach Tiranga Memorial?

Tiranga Memorial lies En route Corbyn’s cove from Marina Park and about 3kms from the city centre.  The site is easily accessible by road (rent a taxi, autorickshaw, or two-wheeler), and is situated next to a picturesque coastline. 

There is ample parking space around. For those up for a long walk with a sea-view, you can walk from Marina Park to the memorial and back. Some hotels and food carts can be seen on the way.
