They offer three categories of rooms, the best being the newer super deluxe bungalows – huge air-conditioned rooms with a TV, a spacious bathroom, and hot water. The Deluxe rooms are similar but smaller, and a great pick for the price. The Semi-Deluxe ones are the smallest with joint twin bungalows that share a balcony with a generous sit-out. The resort organizes fishing, snorkeling, boat trips, and arranges scuba diving with dive centers.
There is an Indian restaurant that serves a reasonably priced buffet for lunch and dinner, which is also available for outside guests. However, the only way to book a stay at the Dolphin Resort is through the Andaman Tourism office in Port Blair at least 2 months in advance with a 25% deposit payment. The staff and particularly the owner himself are very helpful. You name the activity and they will arrange for it. They can even offer you a trip to other islands around the area for snorkeling or island hopping. For the lazy ones, the Kalipur beach is just a stone’s throw away and the snorkeling near Craggy Island is said to be one of the best in North Andaman.

One can choose between a hut with a sandy floor and lifted bed or a hut with bed on the natural floor lifted from the ground. All huts are equipped with electricity, mosquito net and a small porch in front. Bathrooms are shared, with no hot water. The huts are rather small but good for the price. Sleeping underneath a natural roof is special; no fans are necessary due to the airiness of the place.Prices are fixed and non negotiable, during low season the place is closed.
There is a common space in front of the small restaurant, with pillows, swings and hammocks where guests gather to enjoy the pleasant evenings. Sometimes they organize movie screenings in the open garden.
The small restaurant here serves delicious food from international to Indian flavored bites though portions are small. They don’t sell plastic bottles but do have filter water. The beach is about 150 m away, but if you fancy a good swim, beach No. 3 is a 10 minute walk away. The place has a special vibe, very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It is truly the perfect place for escaping reality and the hustle of everyday life to enjoy the true serenity Neil has to offer.
